Just some of my thoughts and ramblings

United Healthcare and the ACN once again

Well after being foolish this last Saturday and trying to have some kind of a life I went and kind of helped with an SCA demo. Boy was that the wrong thing to do. I couldn’t walk Saturday night or most of Sunday. After taking the Percocet and muscle relaxers like candy I was able to get to the chiropractor today.

Oh but wait it gets better!

Yes the insurance company is now having me do at home paper work. They want me to document how I feel at home and not just when I go to the chiroprator. Of course I have pain when I go to the chiropractor or I wouldn’t go! DUH! But now they want to know if I have pain while at home. I have told them repeatedly that I do but not as bad after having a treatment. Guess they don’t read the paper work or listen to the phone calls being made.

Personally I think this is just a ploy to see if I do this paper work. If I don’t then they can say I didn’t cooperate with them. If I do they can still deny me treatments.

I recieved a letter from the ACA’s lawyer to give them permission to use my medical records in court if need be today.  So I think that may be interesting.

Anyway I am back to walking. It is slow right now but my Kimoodo class will help with the stiffness.

    Howdy Rhiannon,

I have never heard of a medical insurance company demanding that a patient/insured do paperwork. Wow.
And as for physical pain, physical pain bites totally.
The chirodoc has certainly made my life more bearable and so I wish you the best in dealing with the paper-pushers who seem to think that denying us necessary treatments and saving money are both ethical ways to provide top customer service to us their customers.
